Volunteers

Volunteer Programs:
Volunteers are an essential part in providing quality services to the residents of our community. Volunteers will acquire new skills through professional networking, gain valuable work experience and build self-confidence. Volunteers give the City the ability to strengthen existing programs and develop new ones. Please see below for more information on our volunteer programs!

2. Rosemead VolunTEEN Program
Are you a teen looking for ways to give back to your community while gaining valuable work experience? Become a VolunTEEN with the City of Rosemead’s Parks and Recreation Department! This volunteer program offers teens ages 14-17 years old the opportunity to become involved in their community while receiving work experience and leadership training throughout the year!

As a Rosemead VolunTEEN you may find yourself assisting Recreation Staff with various year round programs like Camp Rosemead, Summer Lunch Program, Sports (Scorekeeping/Coaching), and Special Events like 4th of July, Art in the Park, Movies in the Park, Fall Fiesta, Tree Lighting/Dinner with Santa and more! Limited positions are available.

You will learn hands-on skills in leadership, work experience, professional networking and build self confidence that may be applied to future jobs in any field.  Your hours will be tallied for any required school/church volunteer hour requirements. At the end of the program, you will receive a certificate and recognition letter.
