About the Celebration
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, California marks 175 years of history. In honor of this milestone, the City of Rosemead invites residents to celebrate through a series of art contests designed to showcase community creativity and pride.

Theme: “What I Love About California”
Eligibility: Students in 5th grade and above, including adults
- Eligibility: 5th grade and above, including adults
- One entry per participant
- All mediums accepted
- Submit a photo of the completed artwork
- One winner selected from each grade per school or age group

Photography Contest
Theme: “What Makes California Special to You”
Eligibility: Open to all ages
- Eligibility: Open to all ages
- Submit one high-resolution photo (300 dpi)
- Include a title and brief description explaining the photo’s significance
- Categories may include landmarks, museums, parks, outdoor spaces, personal significance, or any California-related subject
- Multiple winners may be selected based on number of entries
