The Youth Advisory Committee was established per Resolution No. 2009-07 and per Resolution No. 2013-34 and is comprised of seven (7) voting members. All committee members must be current seventh (7th) through twelfth (12th) grade students thirteen (13) to eighteen (18) years old and must reside in Rosemead. The Youth Advisory Committee was created to facilitate advising City Council on matters pertaining to youth, promoting efforts that improve the welfare of Rosemead youth, and educating the community regarding youth-related issues as well as provide information about available services, resources, and programs.
Rosemead Youth Committee Applications Now Open!
Through this innovative and interactive program, Rosemead
students will gain valuable experience in providing input on local issues that
impact youth and teens. Committee members meet once per month and occasionally
take field trips to local community partners to gain first-hand knowledge of
community challenges and opportunities. Members also play a key role in
planning the annual Youth Multi-Cultural Fair.
