Bulky Items Pick-up

Rosemead Residents are able to put unwanted bulky items at the curbside along with their household waste, recyclables and green waste. Each resident is allowed up to twenty-five (25) bulky items (on your regular collection day) per year. Simply call: Republic Services at (800) 299-4898 one business day prior to your collection day to schedule your pick-up. There is no additional cost for this service. Bulky items include: furniture, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, washers and dryers, and large items that do not fit in your 96 gallon black trash cans. Please no automobile parts or hazardous waste. Republic Services will also pick-up all electronic waste and up to four (4) tires per household. Remember - residents must call to have these and other bulky items collected.

Material exchange - the reuse and exchange of materials is an increasingly important waste reduction and resource management practice. Materials that still have a useful life are often needed by others. For instance teachers, artists, students and businesses can benefit by exchanging and reusing unwanted items. If you have something you think may be usable, but aren't sure, call one of the many “Thrift Shops” listed in the Yellow Pages and they may have a use for your unwanted items.
